Pre-launch preview edition · A Christ-centred book by Darryl Beukes

You treated the crisis. Now confront the pattern beneath it.

You quit.He didn’t.

You may have survived the consequences, apologised, started again, prayed again, or promised yourself that this time would be different. The Reward of Repetition helps you go beneath the event, recognise what keeps returning, and rebuild your direction through truth, responsibility, God’s Word, and repeated obedience.

Declare. Devote. Become. — a 21-day repetition devotional by Darryl Beukes
Coming soon · The next chapter of the journey

Declare. Devote. Become.

A 21-day repetition devotional — the daily companion to The Reward of Repetition. Not a book you read once, but a rhythm you return to: confess what God has said, devote yourself to living it, and let repeated obedience form who you are becoming.

You quit before. He didn’t. You do not have to quit again.

The problem beneath the problem

Relief can stop the pain for a moment. Direction changes what happens next.

Not every repeated pattern is loud. Some look like addiction, broken trust, or a marriage under pressure. Others look like hesitation, self-doubt, avoidance, spiritual disconnection, and another Monday beginning with the same promise.

Why do I keep sabotaging what matters to me?

Why do I promise to change but struggle to remain consistent?

Why does the same conflict keep returning?

Why do I believe in God but still feel spiritually disconnected?

How do I rebuild trust after disappointing people?

How do I create a future stronger than my past?

The reward was never hidden. It has always been connected to what you repeatedly choose.

Who this book is for

Two people. The same reward.

You do not have to be in visible crisis for this to be written to you. Repetition shapes the loud life and the quiet one alike.

The loud cycle

When the pattern is impossible to ignore.

For the person drowning in chaos who needs to break loud, obvious cycles — the ones that damage trust, health, and direction in ways everyone can see.

The crisis is visible. The work is confronting what keeps returning beneath it.

The quiet drift

When everything looks fine — but you know.

For the person whose life looks fine from the outside — little to no noise, nothing visibly broken — but who senses subtle things quietly steering them.

Not failing dramatically. Just drifting a few degrees off from who they are meant to become. Direction, not only discipline.

Loud or quiet, the question is the same: what is your repetition forming? This book meets both — because both are being shaped by what they repeatedly choose.

What is inside

This is not another book telling you to try harder.

It is a practical and faith-centred guide to understanding how repeated choices shape identity, trust, spiritual direction, relationships, and the person you are becoming.

01

Recognise the pattern

Identify the beliefs, environments, wounds, triggers, and repeated decisions quietly directing your life.

02

Renew your thinking

Bring the real situation beneath God’s Word—not as a slogan, but as a foundation for repentance, truth, and wise decisions.

03

Rebuild responsibility

Move beyond regret by creating practical rhythms for communication, work, boundaries, accountability, and restored trust.

04

Repeat the new direction

Turn insight into consistent action until obedience becomes stronger than the old pattern.

05

Use the SCAI framework

Study. Create. Apply. Improve. A repeatable process for examining what is happening and strengthening what must change.

06

Become the person

See that the central question is not only what habit you are building, but who your repetition is forming.

Begin with the book.

Read privately, mark the pages, confront what repeats, and take the first deliberate step towards a different direction.

Portrait of Darryl Beukes, author of The Reward of Repetition

Why Darryl wrote this

This message was not developed in theory.

Darryl Beukes writes from his own testimony, years of biblical reflection, and experience walking alongside people and families facing real-life struggles—including substance abuse, rebellion, broken responsibility, damaged trust, and marriages under pressure.

He has seen that a person’s direction can change when truth, appropriate support, responsibility, spiritual renewal, and consistent action are brought together. The book does not promise that every person will experience the same outcome. It offers a clear framework for those willing to confront themselves honestly and begin practising a new direction.

Darryl is the founder of SCAI Publishing and communicates publicly as @brthr.d.
